NEW TRAININGS STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2012
The Department will manage two specialized trainings from September 2012 :
CESECO : technical and economic analysis of open pit and underground mining projects ;
CFSG : specialized training in Geostatistics
The courses of both trainings will be given in English in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, over a 10-month period, from 10th September 2012 to 12th July 2013 (and from 9th September 2013 to 11th July 2014).

Until June 2012, the CESECO and CFSG trainings were managed by the CESMAT (Centre for advanced studies of raw material).
The CESMAT was founded in 1975 and was made of seven postgraduate courses, a network of more than two thousand five hundred past trainees from 113 countries.
Four postgraduate courses of the CESMAT were organised and managed by the Geosciences department until June 2012:
the Centre for advanced studies of public administration of mines : CESAM
the Centre for advanced studies in opencast mining and quarrying : CESECO
the Centre for advanced studies of mining projects : CESPROMIN
the Centre for specialized training in geostatistics : CFSG
