OBJECTIVES: to provide "digital equivalents of ore body" which have the same spatial variability than the studied deposit, at the cost of a local error greater than for estimations. Blocks models obtained by simulation are less smooth and more realistic than those provided by estimation methods. They can be used to test digitally various production methods.
