Study of landslide risks related to underground and open pit mining work

The digging of underground or open pit excavations induces risks of instability that can occur during the excavation phase as well as long after work is abandoned. To assess these risks and possibly implement preventive measures, geotechnical studies can be performed. The objective of these training days is to explain the content of these studies, the means implemented to achieve them, to bring out their limits and the reliability of the conclusions. The most frequently encountered situations will be the basis of oral presentations.
