Since 2015, the Geosciences & Geoengineering research department organizes two "Mastères spécialisés®" for mining industry, accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, which are conducted in English over a 10-month period.

The MS® MIRIS, Mineral resources industry & society, organized by MINES ParisTech, Ecole des Mines Nancy and Ecole of Géologie of Nancy as part of the "Mine & Society" Network of Excellence in the form of a three-month common core followed by one of the 4 options proposed.

The MS® CFSG (Training course specializing in geostatistics) provides solutions for the study of regionalized variables which can improve the quantitative assessment and mapping of available resources. If this training has a strong orientation towards mining industry, the mathematical techniques can be used in other activity fields (environmental pollution, oil reservoirs, aquifers, soils, ...).

Since January 2014, the Geosciences department organizes a six-month specialized training in Public Mining Administration (CESAM). The forthcoming session will take place from January 9th to July 7th, 2017.

This training addresses topics related to public policy, strategic development, regulation and social and environmental control operations in the mining sector.
